Why not smile... because that's what you'll get when you visit Murrayhill Dental. Located next to the beautiful Murrayhill pond, this high-tech clinic is full of warmth and not just from the smiles of the staff (of which there are plenty). Upon entering, you'll feel like you just walked into your friend's living room complete with a fireplace, armchairs, and sofas. They even set out fresh brewed coffee and pastries for their guests. They're in the business of brightening your smile and it starts right there in their kid friendlywaiting room.
"We believe that dentistry can be enjoyable," says Dr. Melodee Tran who opened this clinic back in 1998 with her husband Dr. Duy Anh. "It's our goal to help you feel and look your best... at every stage of your life." With over 20 years experience between them, they also bring some pretty advanced skills including a regular study club at OHSU focusing on gum, bone and tissue health for Dr. Melodee. Dr. Duy Ahn meanwhile has extensive training in Oral Implantology and Periodontal Surgery and is currently at OHSU studying to become a full time Periodontist. "We are committed to providing you with state of the art, yet conservative dentistry, to maintain, restore and enhance your dental health and appearance" they say and from my personal experience, I know this to be right on.
So as I sat there in the dentist's chair waiting for Dr. Melodee, I was offered not only a blanket and neck pillow, but also virtual reality glasses for movies or headphones for music. Now, I'm not a big fan of getting my teeth fixed, but this kind of service sure made it easier. Then during my exam, I was happy to see all the technology they used and the skill with which both Dr. Melodee and her assistant worked. Overall, I would rate my experience here at Murrayhill Dental as very, very good. And my wife would agree. She has spent a lot of time here getting everything from root canals and crowns to deep cleanings and fillings, and I can tell you, she would not have any other doctor but Dr. Melodee Tran work on her teeth.

Dr. Duy Ahn: It’s hard to believe so much time has already passed since Dr Duy Ahn went to OHSU to study. Well, he has graduated and is now back at the office.
