Nodd's Review How many Indian restaurants can you name in Beaverton? Well, let me tell you, all you need to know is one... Abhiruchi! Located next to K-Mart where TV Hwy meets Murray Blvd, Abhiruchi is easily missed even though its been there since 1994! Yes, Beaverton's best kept secret is a secret no longer. If you are looking for authentic Northern and Southern Indian cuisine, look no further because Abhiruchi is your place. And what dish do I recommend? It's definitely the Chicken Makhani. If you've never had this before, you're in for a real treat. It's moist chicken slow cooked in a clay oven to keep all that flavor in then served in a mild curry-like cream sauce. It's my all-time favorite and if you go to Abhiruchi during lunch you can have as much as you want because everyday is an all-you-can-eat 25 item buffet until 230pm. In addition to Chicken Makhani, the buffet also has lamb, spinach and vegetable curries that you can eat with either coconut rice or nan bread. And for dessert, try the donut balls in sweet sauce called Gulab Jamun. I always make sure I save room to eat at least 3 of these goodies. All of this and more for under $10 per person (and that includes pop)! Tell your friends... tell your coworkers and instead of saying 'lets do lunch', say 'lets do Abhiruchi'!

Born and trained as a gourmet chef in India, he moved to Beaverton in the mid-90's and now has over 30 years of experience in the restaurant business. He loves what he does so when you go there to eat, you'll most likely see him there behind the counter or in the kitchen, every day of the week. Soft spoken but quick to smile, Rao can turn an ordinary lunch into something you'll talk about to your friends, family and co-workers.
