Why Babies (and mothers) Love Cloth Hi, my name is Dawn and I am a Stay at Home Mom to two children here in Beaverton. I decided to use cloth with my second child about two weeks before he was born. It has always been a dream of mine to use cloth for many reasons. My main reasons are safer and healthier for my child, safer and healthier for the environment and cost. Little did I know how much fun and how easy it would be! Plus, there are some really cute WAHM (Work at Home Mom) made diapers out there (you can find a link to those below!).
After I made the decision to put cloth on my baby, I had to do tons of research. It was hard to put it all together, but I found a few top notch sites that really helped me. Mothering.com has an awesome forum where you can ask any questions you can think of. Abbyslane.com is a shopping site, but they have a great Cloth Diapering 101 link on their page. I recommend checking that out! The owner of Abbyslane.com even called me and reassured me that everything will be fine, that I can cloth diaper. I felt much better after speaking with her on the phone. Below you will also find a link regarding soaps to use for washing your diapers. This is a must look at link if you are cloth diapering. I use planet detergent with a front loading machine. Works like a charm. I never would of thought to use Planet if I didnt see this site. By the way, I only use 2 tablespoons per load!
I hope my list of links will help you out in your quest to learn more about cloth diapering! Please check back as I will add to the list when I come up with awesome links!
