If you're one of the thousands of cars that travel down Scholls Ferry Rd each day near the 217, no doubt you've passed by a hidden gem called facelogic Spa on Nimbus Rd across from the Burger King. It's on the second floor above Paper Zone but like a hidden island resort, this spa is fantastic. In fact, as owner Karen Aube described it to me, "it is a resort quality facial spa but at a very affordable price." There's a membership discount but no membership fee so for an introductory price of $49, you can spend almost an hour relaxing in heavenly bliss. How do I know? Well from first hand experience of course.

I know I'm a guy who many may think has no place in a facial spa but I've got to tell you, a facial is not just a luxury for women these days. It's "affordable luxury" (as Karen would say) that has many health benefits for men and women to help your face look young and feel great. And if you don't believe me, the next time you're in the Blazers locker room ask around but don't be surprised if you find a player or two with appointments at facelogic when they are in town. Hey, gotta look good for the cameras right?

A school teacher for 25 years, Karen lives in Tigard and currently owns the only facelogic in Oregon. "I've always had a personal interest in skin care" says Karen, "and facelogic's affordability will allow a wider group of people to experience quality facials more often."
